Hi everyone,
After checking out the forums, I am ready to convert from DirecTV over to Dish (and even pay an early termination fee to do so!). But I'm very confused about the satellites and dishes Dish has.
I'm in the Los Angeles area, and I will be ordering a VIP 622 with an HD package. What sort of dish will I be getting? I'd like to get CCTV E&F and CCTV 9, which according to the Dish Network site, requires a Dish 500/1000 dish. Do I need to specifically request this when I place the order?
Also, during the install, would the installer be able to install a diplexer so I can hook up an outdoor antenna to get OTA? I have a feeling he won't mount the antenna for me, but if he's got the diplexer going I can at least do the mounting myself.
