Hello, I currently have two HR24, 2 HR21 Pro, 2 HR22, and 3 H24's in myaccount. My roomamate has one HR21 in his account and uses one of my SWM lines but not a network cable.
Running swm5.
I just moved into this place, wired all DTV receivers by Coax, Networked them with a 10/100 switch before my Cisco e4200.

What is your suggestion on wiring and networking together all of them, i am currently experiencing some "tuner looking for signal sporadically".

Also looking for my HR34 to arrive.

YES!!! I am a Madman since I have too many shows I record, its an addiction!!

I would appreciate if you could help me here with suggestions of network: Should I use a 100/1000 switch for linking all receivers??

I just acquired and HDMI switcher and I will relocate the hr24 and both hr21 pro's in my closet and just leave a H24 below my TV so from what I watch I can just send it to record to any of the available DVRs!!

How would I go about adding the new HR34 to my setup?

Please verify your exact SWM setup. There's no way a "SWM5" can support that many tuners. And SWM5s were never released for general installation. Perhaps you mean you have a Slimline 5-LNB dish? Or a SWM8 switch (which would also not support that many tuners).

When I go down to DOminican Republic I take a HR24, I have an original 8ft channel master.

So i am stuck here, what suggestions would you have my friend,

Discussion of service outside of the US is against the forum rules. Elements of your posts also don't make sense for a normal residential installation and how the technology would be used in your descriptions.

If the OP has a DirecTV account through DirecTV Caribbean, is this conversation a violation of the rules here?

(Of course his statement "When I go down to Dominican Republic I take a HR24..." would lead one to believe he is doing something wrong as moving his receiver like that is a violation of his TOS with DirecTV.)

US DirecTV equipment won't work on any of the foreign DirecTV services.

This dish type clearly is suggesting the OP is trying to receive US programing outside of the service area.
