Sorry I know this is long, but I ordered this back in January and they never showed up for installation till 5:15pm so I told them i would call again for Installation because it was pitch dark. They charged my credit card for the boxes, but no service yet. My question is should I keep this deal or start all over again. I was planning to go through AAA if I had to do it all over again because I forgot to call them the first time. Thanks everyone

Well, if I scanned all that DirecTv billing crap correctly, you are getting an HR34, a few DVRs, free HD for life, and the Choice Extra Classic package for a one time fee of $231?

First, that sounds like a good deal to me. I just paid $399 for my HR34 alone. Second, the Free HD for life is worth $10 a month. The Classic package locks you into the best package they have for the price. If you reorder, you wont be able to get that package anymore, and will pay the same for less channels, or substantially more for the same channels and a couple movie channels.

I would stick with what you have, and reschedule the install, especially since they already charged you.

ANd why would you cancel the install because it was dark out? I do most of my satellite dish maintenance in the dark.

Yea, Ive heard its best to schedule the install for first thing in the morning, so if they run into a trouble install, it wont push yours back. Think you will love the HR34 system. Ive had mine since Christmas, and its great.

To late if you already were charged and the order was written. You can call and see if they can modify it, but make sure you tell them you DONT want it canceled, as you want that classic package which is no longer available.

How much would AAA save you? Is it really worth the chance of losing the whole deal and having to start over?

Worth calling and asking if they can modify the order. All they can say is no, or you will need to cancel the order and start over.

They wouldn't let me keep my original order, so I had to start all over again because I took to long. My question is--is this basically the same order or am I missing something. The lady I was talking with was from Manilla, I could hardly understand her. Sorry to be a pain still a newbie here.
