I have been researching all the different types of multiswitches available and I am unsure of which one I need... So I figured I would post my current and possible future setup and get some feedback...

Slimline dish
Living Room - HR20-100
Office - D11-100
Master Bed - H23-600

So I am using all 4 lines off of the dish.

I would like to add another hd-dvr to the master and take the h23-600 and put it in the guest bedroom. So I would need 6 lines off of the dish... So I think I could get away with using a Zinwell WB68 Multiswitch??

You are correct....

The 4 lines that come off of the dish will go into the WB68... and it will then have 8 tuner outputs... Each DVR will need 2 of those tuners... And all other standard receivers will just need 1... So... With the WB68... You would be using 6 of those 8 (after adding your new HD-DVR) with 2 more tuners available for later use...

Or... you could also just request one from DirecTV... they sent me one at no charge...
How long ago was this? I just called and the CSR said "yeah, I think we can send you one, let me give you tech support." Then "tech support" says "Nope, we don't have any ability to do that." If that's the truth, fine, but I think he's lying or doesn't know what he's talking about, and I don't like either of those scenarios. Anyone else receive a multiswitch lately? Seems absurd that they'd want to discourage you from activating another box by refusing to ship a part necessary for the install...

If you are getting the box from them and, this box will put you at over 4 tuners total, they will provide the multiswitch WB68. Try again.

That's what I figured... I was already technically over my four tuners, with 2 HR20s and one non-DVR HD receiver. Obviously, it's not about the money, it's the principle of sitting on hold for 30 minutes to have somebody give you bad information. I decided to bite the bullet and get an SWM8 instead as I currently have only one cable running to my living room HR 20 anyway. So, getting bad info from them wasn't all bad I guess :) Thanks for the quick replies, glad to know my suspicions were correct...
