I was speaking to my direct supervisor today.. she stated that she now has Directv and she hates it.. that she had dish.. and misses it.

one: she is paying $10 a month more for what she was originally quoted.

two: a bad install. she can't order movies because the installer didn't install the "internet connection" and two when she walks into the bedroom the system shorts out and has to be rebooted just due to vibration..( and no my boss is not a BIG PERSON by any means.. )..

three: she misses the Dish DVr.. for one because she says that you can go to live tv with out having to goto the end of a taping..

she did tell me that her installer was working alone and had only been on the job for a week or so.. no more then two weeks.. and spend 8 hours trying to get her house switched over from Dish..

wow I thought I had a bad install.. but this is wrong.. she said that she has called three times yet no one wants to make it right by her..

I advised her to contact retention alone.. that they should come and fix her install and set her price right in some way , shape or form.. but

I am willing to hear legit responses from this forum. no personal attacks.. and remember I have to work as a subordinate to this woman..

how about some good , solid advise..

or press the "prev" button will take you back to the live channel you were watching, or press guide and select the channel you want to view live then if you want to back to the recorded show press the prev button and it will take you back to where you left it. Very easy to do.

Correct;

And even if the recorded show was not local, but from another DVR over MRV, it will return to that program at the point you left off with "PREV."

Very convenient feature.
If she was happy with Dish why in the world did she switch?

System shorts out due to vibration? What could possibly be shorting out? Also, is she not capable of posting herself? We really need much more info...we dont know what was on her order..if the ICK wasnt on the order, it doesnt get installed, period.

I'm betting she is ticked she doesn't get to see Brewers replays on FS Wisconsin, either.

That sounds like a staple in the coax or if tucked under carpet its pushing on a tack strip that holds carpet on borders. Or its the opposite of a short and its a way too loose connection like two cables that are spliced together.

!rolling
I was going to say check the power connection on the back of the DVR and where it plugs into the wall. It might not be fully seated and walking by makes it lose power and get it back.

Also check to make sure the outlet she has it plugged into isn't on a switch. Maybe it isn't her walking into the room that is causing it. Maybe when she turns the lights off in that room it is killing power to the outlet that the receiver is plugged into, and when she walks back in and turns the lights back on the power to the outlet is restored so the receiver powers back on and restarts. A lot of bedrooms have outlets wired like this for lamps, etc.
