I was just snooping around the DirecTV web site looking at their package comparisons and I noticed that The Hallmark Channel (312) doesn't appear in ANY package!! But I'm still getting it with Choice.

Is this channel being discontinued? (Like CCTV9)

Probably an oversight.

It's in the pdf version and still in the online listings

Also listed under the build your system package selection (Family, Choice, Choice Xtra, etc.). It's just not visible for the package comparison.

Weird. You would think with the intense competition with cable & DISH that DirecTV would check and double check the "package comparisons" since a LOT of folks "shopping" for a subscription TV provider base their decision on what is available in each package....

It is there! I think you might have just missed it..

Remember though that channels in a lower package (i.e family) are included in other packages such as choice, choice xtra, premier. The site tend to show you the additional channels you will get by subscribing to that new package at the top followed by all the others.

That is not true; there are several channels in the Family package that don't appear in Choice: DIY, National Geographic, ONCE Mexico, PBS Kids SPROUT, Nicktoons, Science, Radio Disney, and XM: Kids.

Remember though that channels in a lower package (i.e family) are included in other packages .

That is a common misconception. Wish it were true.
