Tonight I tried to record Heroes in mpeg4 and my HR20 wouldn't. It would record it from OTA which I believe is mpeg2. But in mpeg4, all i got was a gray screen. I tried recording other programs (not Heroes) in mpeg4 from NBC with no problem. Anyone else have this problem?

I would guess it was a local "thing" for you as I was able to record the first hour of Heroes tonight in MPEG-4.

The problem for me was that all 3 episodes were repeats, yet mine wanted to record them. No biggee, but weird nonetheless.

Funny, I had to actually modify my series link to include reruns so that they would be recorded (I want to rewatch as much as I can before the season returns). All 3 recorded just fine (haven't watched 'em yet though).

The box said it recorded them but when I played back it was just a gray screen. I later recorded the tonight show with no problem. So I'm guessing it's the mpeg4 encoding of my local station. I moved the series link to OTA/mpeg2 to hopefully avoid the problem in the future.
