Ordered HR34 and C31 to replace two HR21's. Both units were installed today with no problems in a SWM16 system. I have 4 additional HR'22's in the house with DECA units and all seem to be working as designed. The HR34 can see the older DVR's and the Older units can see the HR34.

My issue is that the new C31 cannot see any of the other playlist from the attached HR22's. I was under the impression that the C31 client could see anything that the HR34 had access to. Am I missing something?

I believe that's a bug (not being able to see the other DVRs) that is being corrected.

Another observation... The C31 now has a strange IP that it usually issued when a DHCP server cannot be located. When we first unboxed both the HR34 and C31 and brought them online, I recall seeing a 192.x.x.x. issued from my LAN. We had not activated WH yet so would not have seen the other DVR's. After several minutes, the HR34 forced a firmware update and I noticed the strange address on the C31 after that. I may be mistaken.

The C31 works great, even with the out of spec address.

The C31 and the HR34 use a private IP address to communicate with each other. That is the IP address that you are seeing.

I wonder if running multiple networks off of the same MAC address is a wise approach.
