I received 0x16db this morning on my HR54/700. A search of this community for information on this release produces no results. Where can I find information?
Where can I find notes on the latest software updates?

I'd say most people don't know what software version their receiver is on and most don't look at the version numbers unless there is an issue and they want to compare with other users on the forum. DIRECTV long ago stopped putting out official "release notes" on each version. Personal observation by users has not kept up.

There used to be the edge cutter forum where people obsessed over such things, but that forum seems as dead as a door nail.

I have not had enough time to observe any differences. I continue to have two issues that I am hoping will eventually be resolved:
- The obnoxious "Music Choice" pop-up that appears while tuned to a music channel. The issue is that when I am watching a recording while the tuner is still on a music channel in the background, the pop-up will appear in the middle of the show, requiring me to press the exit key to dismiss it.
- The second issue happens when the recordings list is on screen and I delete one of the programs. Immediately after deleting the program at the top of the list disappears. I need to exit and re-display the list for the list to ne correct.
I'll check later today to see if either of these issue has been addressed.

Probably cuz people realized with DirecTV stuff falls on deaf ears, so why bother? While I'm sure we'll get a lot of bashers in that regard, it's not that different from 100% of the software / hardware out there. People complain about Chrome, Windows, etc.
They upgraded BBS software a while ago, so old links point to old stuff. The current location is:
They didnt upgrade the last DB crashed and they couldnt restore it.. But the new site is pretty dead also there is less then 20 active people

Where are the notes published? And to be clear, my initial post referenced 0x16db, not 0x179E. Where are the release notes for my SW version?
These are from this weeks CE. Which I am pretty sure aren’t supposed to be shared outside that site
There aren’t any. They don’t publish the final release notes for a full build
Is it still mostly solid signal ads disguised as "blogs".
