You forgot to mention that they ruined the channel...... My Youngest Brother called up when teh change happened and said you need to look at this, It's hillarious, He hadn't laughed so much in weeks.

Some of their Green suggestions are hilarious, Some are just darned expensive and some could be dangerous.

Suggesting unplugging anything you aren't using can wear out the wall outlets quickly, The loosening of tension where the prongs go in could cause a higher resistance connetion leading to heating. At best doing so will lead you to find out which electrician is the least expensive in your area.

Having said that, If you want to remove power, use power strips with switches on them.

PLGN? What a silly name.

Bummer looks like they changed the programing too. I used to watch reruns of Holmes on homes and other shows. The shows I see on PLGN dont interest me now oh well, wish they did not change.

I haven't found anything I wanted to watch on the new channel either. Seems like a 'PC - the world is going to kill us' channel.

I actually enjoy Planet Green, I am watching it much more that I did Discovery Home.
I agree. Probably because of its newness, the programming has a looser feel. As someone who doesn't like reality programming, the Ed Begley Jr program can be very funny. He completely embraces his image as the bubbling environmental guy. It is too celebrity focused, but if I'm going to watch a network dedicated to lives of minor celebrities I would rather it be those attempting to lead a more environmentally conscious existence than trust fund kids drinking and sleeping around.

if those were my only two choices for TV I would probably kill myself as both are insufferable.

Though we try to stay free of politics, I may as well say I find those who resent channels like Planet Green to be as foolish as they are ignorant. But, that's why we have elections, too.

Saying that, as well, I haven't watched much of it, yet, because it's not available in HD. Renovation Nation has been fun - but, I'm retired from contracting and it only makes me a wee bit nostalgic.
