Anyone know which satellite the program guide is downloaded from? I always just assumed 119*, but tonight my dad calls me and says both his DVR's (625&508) are not stopping recordings when the shows are over, and the guides are not up to date. (I'm thinking the recording issues are due to the out of date guides) So I had him run check switches on both to force guide updates. Then I had him look in the sys info screen to check for LNB drift, and sure enough there was, but on the 110* (He's running a SW34 with three duals on an old Super Dish. 110* 119* 129*) What puzzles me is if the guide data downloads from the 119* (which I don't really know for sure)why would the drift on the 110* be causing it to not download. It makes perfect sense it it's downloaded from the 110* though. Now here is another interesting part. The 508 tested good on all three. Now I know some receivers don't have the capability of detecting LNB drift, but I thought all DP&DP+ receivers could.

There is a 44 hour Guide on every satellite.

The 9 day Guide is on 119, and there will be one on 72.7 in a week.

A "power cord pull" reset is always good to try, it can help timer problems.

What about locals? Ex I live in the Cleveland Market, but near the Erie market. The Erie market is on 129, and I am unable to get guide data for the Erie digital station that I pull off air via the ViP622 since I don't have 129

You don't get the Erie guide data because you do not subscribe to the Erie locals. It is a stupid thing that Dish does, as you will only get guide data for locals that you subscribe to. It doesnt matter that Erie is on 129 because guide data is not exclusive to an orbital location, it is the same everywhere.

I get guide info for the stations I get from an adjacent market via OTA.

Then why do I get guide data for WKBN/WYFX out of Youngstown? I don't subscribe to Youngstown locals via Dish, only Cleveland.

In many areas you DO get guide data for out of market locals received OTA (I get Fort Wayne guide information and I'm in the South Bend market). But you DO need to subscribe to your own market's locals.

I subscribe to the Cleveland Locals via Dish. I have 110, 119, and 61.5 I can get guide data on the 622 for WKBN/WYFX out of Youngstown, which has it's locals via dish on 110, but I can not get guide data for WSEE out of Erie, which is on 129. I assumed that it was because the guide data for WSEE came from 129, not 110 or 119. Am I wrong, should I be getting the guide data for WSEE? should I call tech support to see if their really is a problem?

The guide data is actually on every satellite in the system ... do people in Erie get WSEE via DISH? If so, do people in the Erie market get guide data for their OTA version of WSEE? The channel needs to be carried by dish in some market and properly tied to the OTA channel for it to show up in the guide (plus the previously mentioned restriction of "you must subscribe to your own locals").

If WSEE is on 129, the receiver will not get an indication that Guide data is available if the receiver cannot see 129 as that is where the OTA channel channel would be. I don't see any indication there is OTA guide data for this market, though.
