Trying to setup my slimline with swm-3s lnb for 43943. When I go into dish pointing and select slimline -3 & 72.5 & 95 I get Elev-39 & Tilt 67. If I put in slimline-3S (SWM) I get Elev 35 & tllt 60. How do I know what to set it on?

Yeah, Dishpointer and the on-screen menus don't agree often. I find that somewhere in the middle is usually best.

I'm VERY skeptical if you could setup your dish precisely to that mentioned degrees.
The dish have no such precision marks and you don't have professional measurement tool to set the angles.

So drop worried, get the numbers as ESTIMATION and do tune your dish by signal values on TV screen.

If this a SWM dish and a Power Inserter, doesn't it automatically set the proper dish ?

Got it figured out. I had to go to slimline-3S (SWM). I set the angles to 35 & 60. Eyeballed the azimuth to copy the oval dish. Went to signal meter and had 50 on a couple transponders on sat 101. Called over my neighbor and fine tuned them the rest of the way. All's good now!:hurah::grin:

The azimuth for a slimline (which is centered on 101) is different than for the oval (Phase III) dish, centered on 110.
