-What model numbers are shipping now from DTV?
-Where do you find the tech spec on the units?
-What I am looking for is an HD DVR in one room and my second room either standard DVR unit or Standard receiver which has RF remote for use in a second room.
-Which units have the RF remote?
-Also with the leased units if they malfunction do they get replaced free?

Sorry a lot of questions

Thanks

Depends... see below

Search for the model number on here and you should find the DBSTalk First look. You can also go to this page for links to lots of good info, including all the first looks stickied at the top.

You will probably get an HR21, but may get an HR20 for your HD DVR. Not sure what's shipping currently for the standard DVR, but again, you may get the R15, R16 or R22. It's hard to say what you'll get at any moment in time, it really does depend on what's on the shelf in the distribution center nearest your home.

All of those above have the capability, only the HD DVRs come with it.

Usually you only have to pay shipping ($20) unless you have protection plan, in which case it's waived.

Sorry a lot of questions

No problem. :)

Thanks

For the most part,

The HD DVR is an HR21 (100, 200 or 700). You would need to get an AM21 for access to over the air transmissions

The HD standalone receiver is either an H21 (100 or 200) or an H23-600

The SD DVR will probably be an R15 but might be an R16

The SD standalone receiver is likely a D12 or D11 series.

yeah, occasionally that happens. Most of the time, it will be an HR21 these days, though.

Same here - it arrived today. I was pretty surprised at that, and its clearly a refurb.
I was figuring it would be an HR21, in which case I'd put it in my home theater unit where all the other components are black. Now, I don't have to move the existing one around...

Don't care really - I have the protection plan so if it goes south, a replacement is only a phone call away....

What doesn't make sense to me is that they ship people who need OTA HR21s, and people like me who can't use OTA get an HR20 (I now have 3!)

Had a HR20-100 delivered 2 weeks ago. Looks like a refurb and was missing all cables and BBC's I had to call and get the BBC's shipped.
