I say none, thats what PVRs are for. I'd rather see money put into HDTV or better picture quality rather than another channel. That said, living on the left coast, I know why Z'Loth is asking. It sucks to have some shows on at 6pm when I'm just getting back from work. I don't know what I'd do without my DirecTiVo...
This would be a great way to surpass digital cable. The only reason I don't switch now is the distant locals that I'm getting.
 Only on the west coast....

Cartoon Network has been running an Anime series called "G Gundam". It was running one episode at 2 PM, but because they run "off-schedule", I had my timer set up from 1:57 until 2:35. Then, near the end, without announcement, they began two-episodes before pulling the series off air last week, causing me to miss a whole bunch of episodes.

They are now running the series during the midnight run, which, for b0th Dish and DirecTV, is 9 PM PT. Gee, guess what runs at 9 PT that I watch? Monday-CSI:Miami*, Tuesday-24, Wednesday-Junkyard Wars, Thursday-tail end of CSI*. G Gundam doesn't air on Fridays.

Sigh..... :bang:

* CBS programming runs one hour earlier in Sacramento. I am in solid Class A... no chance for waivers.
Look, I don't disagree with you. But with a PVR the need for these channels goes away IMO.
Good God, what we don't need is more ABC Family AND especially not more TNN...gak!!!!

:hi: Slight problem. The 501 PVR has only ONE tuner. It doesn't record two shows at once.

I can't justify purchasing a 721 at this time. Maybe a 508, but I have to get the bills down first.

In addition, PVRs, from last I read, make up 5% of Dish's STB population.
I voted none to conserve bandwidth, but if I had to choose it would be SciFi.

OK, but what channels are you willing to give up? You can't have it all....
