I have an interesting whole home DVR problem. Here's my configuration:
HR34-700 Configured to not share recordings
HR24-500 Configured to share recordings
HR20-700 Configured to share recordings
I have a standard SWM configuration with SL-3 SWM dish, power inserter, then 4-way green splitter. The splitter then is connected to each of the DVRs. The setup is connected to my LAN via the RJ-45 on the HR34.
The HR20 has a DECA adapter connected and is configured for only one tuner so I don't exceed the 8 tuner SWM limit.
The problem happens while watching shows on the HR20 that were recorded on the HR24. After watching for a few minutes (or hours), I get a popup saying I lost the connection to the HR24. In this state, the whole home status on the HR20 finds the HR34 (and properly says the recordings aren't shared), but doesn't find the HR24. Whole home status on both other DVRs finds the other two DVRs. Rebooting the HR20 temporarily fixes the problem.
DirecTv tech support tried replacing the DECA adapter on the HR20. That didn't work. They're suggesting I replace the HR20.
Any other thoughts on what might be happening here? Everything else seems to be workin fine.
