Despite being reported several times in the cutting edge issues threads over the past year, the on-screen instructions for the HR20 continue to incorrectly tell users to use code 00002 to set the remote to control an HR20 with the remote in the AV1 or AV2 switch position. (code 00003 is the only code that works for the HR20)

Is this really that hard to fix? Is it preferable/cheaper for the call center to field an occasional call from a customer asking why the on-screen instructions don't work instead of expending the small amount of time that would be required to put the correct text into a software release soon after being notified of some incorrect text in the on-screen setup instructions? Shouldn't small issues that have correspondingly trivial fixes be addressed? What am I missing??? Why does a one character mistake in a text file go uncorrected for more than a year?

Thats peculiar. My HR20-700 is set to AV1/AV2, on the remote I have it programmed as AV2, and am using 00002.
Ive had it setup this way for a few months, and only popped the CE cherry on this inparticular box about 5 weeks ago

Agreed... That does need to get fixed... I see the same thing...

I see the same thing and wasted much of this afternoon trying to chase this issue. Glad I looked here. My H20 uses code 00002 but my HR20 and new HR21 need 00003.

Not only is the setup screen wrong but the remote literature is also wrong.

If you go back nearly 2 years now, I complained each and every CE about the remote codes not word wrapping. Basicly, I was told that "It's not a high priority, besides how often do you set up a remote." This was from a person I have a good deal of respect from. The fact that one doesn't set up a remote multiple times isn't the point. The point is that, even though it's only text on a screen, it's still sloppy work. If the care isn't put into making sure that instructions are correct, what other typos are infesting the "important" code?
