Another way to secure this is to set your PPV purchase limit to 0.01 until you're ready to actually purchase a PPV, then set it back when you're done.
An even better way of eliminating the possibility of "accidentally" purchasing one of these movies from the Showcase tab is to do like I did. Call DirecTV and tell them you want to have IPPV (Impulse Pay-Per-View)
disabled on your account. This is a free service. After doing this, your receiver will block any attempt to order
ANYTHING that costs money with your remote control without having to fiddle around with the parental controls. You get a message "check phone line-error #7XX" if you try even if your phone line is plugged in. (like mine still is so I can utilize the on-screen caller ID feature)
Of course, you can still order PPV movies on DIRECTV.COM or via the automated phone system, but why bother now that they get erased only 24 hours after you start to view them?
