Why was HERE removed?

I understand the idea why you are glad HERE was removed, but it is not a correct move on the part of Dish Network.
The way I see it, as long as Dish is offering, TEN, PLAYBOY, and the other ADULT PORN channels, then keeping a PPV channel online for the Gay and Lesbian subscribers would only be the right thing to do.
If Dish has decided to drop support for it's Gay and Lesbian customers then this will be a financial loss for Dish. The loss of Distant Networks, the pending loss of our DVR's, and now dropping a PPV channel that was making money for Dish. And (this is a rumor, at this time unconfrimed) Dish has advised Viacom that they will not discuss adding LOGO to the line up as gay programming is not consistent with Dish's programming choices. If this rumor is true then Dish needs to remvoe all ADULT channels as well.
I hope that my e-mail to the CEO will make a diffrence, and HERE will be returned and LOGO will be added.

I very highly doubt it's a moral, belief or political thing. With Charlie you can just about guarantee it's a money thing, it's what he seems to believe in more than anything. If HERE was making Dish lots of money you can bet it would still be on.garydw said:

It would return probably when they will find a place to put it on (now it's NOT their priority after all, with all the other chit that is going on)
HERE wasn't the ONLY one at the same time.. Spanish PPV channel was removed together with HERE (probably to return as well.. at some future point)

They removed it, i think, cuz they needed room to put something else at the same TP, etc..
So for now they cleaned house somewhat .. to put / move more important things around
Just follow the Last Uplink Activity one more time.. maybe somewhat closer.. and you ll see

A lot of shifting ... with Spanish PPV going away as well it is more likely that they just could not find the space for the moment - but that can change. (Especially if they free up ConUS space by moving a couple old distants to spots.)

Awww, c'mon, gang... if there's a gay channel, and you don't agree with the gay lifestyle, don't watch it.
I'm not gay, but I do believe that everybody has the right to do whatever/whoever they wanna do, and see it on TV, too, if that's what they want to see.
Amongst all the complaints from people over distant networks, and how they should be able to watch whatever they want, I find it a bit disingenuous to turn around and complain about a channel that carries programming you find distasteful.
Gay people exist. Not carryin' a channel on Dish Network isn't going to change that, no matter how much you would like to believe it will.

Again, sorry to be off topic... but since no one else said it, I had to!
For the record, and on-topic... I don't watch channels for various reasons... and it is easy to do so! I never even knew this particular channel existed! But I'm not offended that it was there... and I understand frustration from folks who actually watched it and noticed it going away. Why can't we all just get along?
