Meaning should I be able to see what is recorded on the HR20 from the HR34.
Just got a new HR34 and wanted to keep my HR20 until I watched all the shows. I can see the shows on the HR20 when I have that active but the DirecTV installer said I should be able to see the shows from the HR34 because they are all connected now.

Is this possible --- thanks

You need to have a DECA module on the HR20, and have Whole Home DVR active on your account. If you have both of those it should work, if you don't then you need to have them added.

Thanks -- he did that and I could not see the shows -- he told me I had to red button reset all receivers and then it may show up

You may need to go into the menu and turn on sharing on both DVRs to get them to start sharing the recordings.
