Will signal meters work on a deactivated D11 receiver for dish aiming?
I had the roof replaced and now have to realign the dish...can I use this just to check signals? TIA

You could and I won't tell DirecTV....
You can also tune to Channels 100 and 201 on an unactivated Recevier.
Sometimes that is enough. As I was finishing a multi receiver installation I asked an elderly family member if he would like to have help turning on a movie or something. I use dead receivers all the time just for tuning.
