For me, NO. I love my Yanks but here are my issues.

1. TOO MANY BLACK OUTS! I don't care why this happens but just the fact it does happen ticks me off. I want a schedule put out before the season showing me all the Yanks games I should see, it doesn't need to be perfect, but close.

2. Very few YES feeds last year (I live in fort lauderdale) I don't want the B team Brewers feed!

3. I don't feel like I'm getting value out of it, seems pricey compared to the NFLST

4. The Yanks play on a lot of national games and all Sox vs Yanks games are on espn.

5. I can keep track of my Yanks on the net

6. All the playoffs are on broadcast tv.

Unless they give me a sweet deal this year, I'm gone.

I'll renew too. I love baseball. Man, it was great to see baseball reborn here in Motown last year.

The reason I subscribe to MLB EI?

The Brewers announcers crack me up. Very lighthearted.

Vin Scully.

The Tigers opponent's games.

Did I mention I love baseball....?

Probably. As Proc said, it's great listening to Vin Scully. Even though my Yankees aren't on a lot on Friday nights, it's worth it. I enjoy watching them. My wife isn't big on it. But if I do end up passing on it, Arlington, Minneapolis, and Chicago are all within driving distance of Kansas City. That's a lot of Yankees' games.

If there are no more than 1 or 2 games a night in HD and I won't be renewing. I'm getting to the point if it's not in HD I just don't watch it, regardless of the content, i.e., news, sports, sitcoms etc., :nono:

It depends on how many games will be shown in HD. I don't think I'll be able to watch baseball in SD any more.
Amen to that.

It all boils down to whether more games will be in HD

If so, I will buy it in a heart-beat

If not, then I won't. Last year's games was a bit of a disappointment to me HD wise.

Doesn't the Yankees have an agreement with a local provider to show the Friday night games? This would be a reason why it is not available on MLB EI. Also, create a custom schedule on DIRECTV.com and it will tell you which games would be on MLB EI. And don't forget that FOX and ESPN have broadcasting rights for certain weekend games with the MLB.

2. Very few YES feeds last year (I live in fort lauderdale) I don't want the B team Brewers feed!

I don't understand this? Are you getting the MLB EI for the Yanks games or the announcers? If you don't like the announcers then turn off the volume and use your imagination.

3. I don't feel like I'm getting value out of it, seems pricey compared to the NFLST

Really? How much was the NFL ST for how many games a week? MLB EI has over 60 games a week for how many weeks? I think that the MLB EI is a much better value. Unless you only follow one team then you are missing the point of the MLB EI.

4. The Yanks play on a lot of national games and all Sox vs Yanks games are on espn.

Not all of the Yanks games are on ESPN. Some are on a local affiliate.

5. I can keep track of my Yanks on the net

Are you watching the game or surfing the net?

6. All the playoffs are on broadcast tv.

So are the NFL playoffs. MLB EI is for "regular season" games.

So yes, I will still subscribe to MLB EI this year. And I am looking forward to it being exclusive on D*! Crossing my fingers!

No doubt about it.....I'm addicted.

Being a Yankee fan in NJ is great since I get the local feed, but being able to watch the other games whenever I want to is great.

I also am in a very competitive fantasy league and any insight I can grab from out of market games helps out a lot!

I will renew. Even though EI has issues, and in my mind is the worst of the pro sports passes, I still find it a good value.

No, but I will continue to get the package online at mlb.com.

For $80 you get every single game, including those not even on TV...you get the radio announcers and the scoreboard feed instead.

I usually hook my laptop up to the TV, and I'm set to go.

Definitely...I mean, yes the Friday/Saturday blackouts are beyond frustration but it's either this way or no way. As for the comparison to NFLST, what are you talking about? This is MUCH cheaper!

Of course!! This will be season 10 of MLB-EI for me. It keeps getting a little more expensive but it can't be beat for extreme baseball fans.

Hi all,

First Post.

I will be renewing.

Although my biggest beef with D* about the MLBEI package is the fact that they refuse to show the replays of that days game when they air late in the evening/early morning.

I am a premier package customer and get all the 600's plus I pay for the MLBEI package, so why should I be able to see in rerun what I was able to seelive just a few hours ago. Every time I call I bring this up and asked if they have fixed this yet and I always get the same answer "I agree with you sir but I don't know what I can do about it".

Anybody else peeved at this besides me?

Happy New Year!!

John
