Yankees making out "Big Time" if there is a salary cap
Instead of a comment, I have a question? Since Steinbrenner owns the station that the Yankees are broadcast on. He also owns the team. What would stop him from selling his teams to broadcast rights to his station for say 2 million dollars a season. that means he would only have to share the two million dollar figure in revenue sharing with the other owners. Isn't this the similar strategy that Braves, Dodgers and Red sox do with their team?
