I am wondering why an entry for $0.00 for MLB Extra Innings 2012 appeared on my January Bill when the season does not start for two months?

hmmm...ok. I knew last year when I ordered it that it was an auto-renewal deal, it just seems a strange way for DTV to tell me that.

They do that for all sports subscriptions so people don't complain they weren't notified that it was going to renew. They show it as a zero charge first and then usually charge you a month before the season starts so you have plenty of time to cancel if you don't want to renew.

There is no such thing as a no auto renew deal. If you're ever told that it will not auto renew the next year they're wrong. The only time auto renew can be stopped is after the season ends and usually about a month before the season starts. Which is about the time reminders start showing up.

I did misread what the person stated which caused the post but now I'm just being proactive to a post coming up "soon".
