DECA required?

If you have a receiver that you don't want connected to MRV, just stand-alone, do you still need a DECA module at the receiver to split out the video from the stacked signal?

Or can you run the rg-6 straight into the receiver without issue?

Correct. DECA is not a requirement to watch DirecTV.

It isn't "the video" that would be split out, but an RF signal.
If you connect a receiver to the SWiM system and don't use a DECA on it, then you use a bandstop filter instead.

Optionally, you can add the DECA, but turn MRV off for that box. This would be a good option if wired ethernet connection wasn't convenient. The DECA would bridge the box out to the internet for PPV, VOD, and TVapps.
