DishNetwork DVR 522 is recording local news every night and and I don't want to record local news every night. I can remove it one night at a time but how do I remove it from my schedule forever?

How did it get on your schedule?
There must be a timer set to record all events at that time on that channel... Try looking in the schedule for timers for one that matches what is happening... and you can then delete that timer so it will not keep happening.
