One of my RCA Receivers has been having problems lately. The Program Guide doesn't show up, and we don't get NFLST games on it. Is this receiver dead or is there something I can do to fix the missing program guide?

First thing to try is a reset/reboot .... disconnect power, wait 30-sec, reconnect power.
If that doesn't help then call DirecTV. They have some sweet "upgrade" deals on the new D11 Receiver or H20 HiDef Receivers.

I have a question about upgrading. If I upgrade to HD, how much would it cost? Would Directv supply the KaKu satellite?

If you are referring to the KaKu Dish... then yes, normally if you upgrade to one of the HD receivers they will include the dish.
The H20 is normally around $99 in the advertisements
I have a couple of the RCA DRD435RH's too. If I lose the NFL ST channels, a reboot is all it takes to make them reappear. I have noticed that if the receiver is left plugged in for a period of a few days, it then starts to lose channels until a reboot. It still works...
