I tried to build a custom multiview on my TV before the games started, but the way it works is useless. As I tried to select games to add, the only choices I got were the pregame shows, which are the same for every game.

On my Android tablet, I couldn't set up any multiview that included both the Cardinals-Saints and Steelers-Jets, whether I picked from the curated choices or tried to build my own combination. Steelers-Jets was local, but Youtube promised local games would be available in the custom multiviews this year.

Glad I wasn't the only one. I tried it too & it stayed on the pregame when I switched back so I had to get out of it to get to the game. I did not try local games because it kept saying it was for more money.

Last week kudos: YT NFLST did a great job lifting black-outs of KC/Philly as the Giants/Cowboys game went to OT.

Last week oh-nos!: It's nice that someone, somewhere can customize their PIP-- but I (and countless others) can't customize their PIP and the limited choices offered on YT's apps across multiple hardware sources is maddening. Worse yet, if you find a needle in the haystack of options that actually works for you--dont bump into your remote by accident. I did and the PIP option I had selected was backed-out-of and then disappeared when I tried to go back-in! And then re-appeared 30 minutes later.... And that's with jumping through every conceivable way to get PIP options; including the main page, the NFL page, the subscription page, etc, etc

The first year of NFLST on YouTube TV, they sometimes failed to unblock the Sunday Ticket channel when an early game overran the start of the late game on a local channel. They've gotten a lot better at it since that time. In the case of the PHI-KC game in week 2, it was the only Fox telecast at 4:25, which means it wouldn't have involved Sunday Ticket at all if the game if the early slot hadn't run over.

What I don't understand is why the portion of the PHI-DAL game that was on NFLST doesn't show up in the recordings afterward. I've noticed this in previous instances where they unblocked the NFLST channel. The recording on the local channel picks up where the station joined the telecast, but the portion of the game that was on the unblocked Sunday Ticket channel isn't there. If you didn't tune in the Sunday Ticket channel live, you can't go back and watch it.

You're thinking in terms of old-fashioned linear satellite channels, but YouTube operates in terms of games.

They are channels and show up as such in the guide, even though they don't have channel numbers. I was able to watch the beginning of the PHI-KC game on my tablet by going to the channel guide at the start of the game and selecting the Sunday Ticket channel for that game while I continued to watch the early game on my TV.

The channel guide will show the local games each week, and a separate set of Sunday Ticket channels will show all of the games, with the games that are on the local channels showing as blocked. If the early game on a local channel overruns the start of the late game, Youtube will unblock the appropriate Sunday Ticket channel until the local station joins the telecast, at which time the Sunday Ticket will be blocked again. To watch the beginning of the game when this happens, you have to go to the guide and select the Sunday Ticket channel for that game. Since I have my YouTube TV set to record all NFL games, the early portion of the game that is viewable on the unblocked Sunday Ticket channel should show up in the recordings, but it doesn't.

Thus proving my point.
It proves the opposite of what you are claiming. YouTube TV does have channels and a channel guide. You can select programs to watch by finding and selecting them in the guide. To watch the start of a 4:25 game in the scenario I described, you have to go to the channel guide and select the unblocked Sunday Ticket channel. It's that simple.

Considering people who subscribe to NFL+ Premium ($99 year) get full game replays after the conclusion of each game one would think NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers would have access to full game replays. Not just the portions that aired in the market where the subscriber is located.

It really doesn't make sense in light of the fact that full-game replays (both the original telecast and the condensed replay) are available for both local and Sunday Ticket telecasts. The condensed replays are available for 3 days for Sunday Ticket subscribers, after which they expire and can only be viewed on NFL+.

As to why the Sunday Ticket portion of the PHI-KC game (the portion that was overrun by the end of the NYG-DAL game) wasn't available to available to watch afterward, I tried to get an answer from YouTube reps in the Youtube TV subreddit. The explanation I got was that because PHI-KC was the only Fox game in the 4:25 window, it was a national telecast and didn't involve Sunday Ticket at all. That explanation is false, because I actually watched the early portion of the game by going to the appropriate Sunday Ticket channel at the start of the game. When I replied back and pointed that out, they stopped responding.
